I am pleased to announce that Creathadh Energies has recently received a phase I National Science Foundation SBIR award. Creathadh Energies is headquartered in Cedar Falls Iowa where I grew up. Creathadh means vibration in Irish, and it was founded by my late father and I a few years ago to commercialize my PhD research at the University of Michigan in analog integrated circuit interfaces to mechanical vibration energy harvesters. The goal of this project is to produce a vibration powered prototype to monitor an athlete’s performance.
